Krakow in Poland
September saw a chance for a short break to Krakow in Poland. The old town is quite compact and most sites were within a short stroll of the hotel. Being relatively undamaged in the war all the major buildings are original, adding to it's unique atmosphere.

A few days in Edinburgh proved a nice break in which to really see this great city. I hadn't realised just how hilly it was, but of course this provided lovely views over the city from Calton Hill, Arthur's Seat and The Castle.

Imperial War Museum
Imperial War Museum
A December visit to the Imperial War Museum in London proved to be very interesting. I hadn't visited for many years and the re-vamp it's had within the last couple of years have transformed the experience. You could easily spend a whole day there, thoroughly recommended.

A visit to Babbacombe again In January proved very lucky as regards the weather. We had some beautiful bright, if cold, days - perfect for walking. The walks we did included the Exe River Trail and the Teign & Turrets Trail, offering different types of terain - riverside & Dartmoor.
